“Children learn best from using their senses. Where possible the nursery environment reflects a child’s urge to explore the resources we have carefully selected for them.” – Rachel and Elena
What’s so special about Fount Nursery?
Each child is unique and has a talent that will be nurtured by us. That’s why we’ve designed the spaces with colouramas and art walls where children can really express themselves, wallpaper that can be coloured in, a greenhouse to grow plants and a natural play area designed by the award-winning Cool Canvas.
We’ve created spaces for both rest and activity in a calm and relaxing environment mixed with an eclectic vintage feel. Fitting our ethics on reuse, reclaim and recycle, we worked with Vertu Antiques to source vintage children’s toys and furniture.
Elena, an Early Learning professional and adult psychologist, has created the Fount Learning Method. This is a holistic approach for the all-round development of children aged 3 months to 5 years. Inspired by experts such as Maria Montessori, Susan Isaac, Frederick Frobel and Reggio Emilia, the Fount Method will encourage independent thinking and self-reliance within a multi-cultural environment. We also teach children about the growing and tasting of high quality food – they’ll learn to grow vegetables in the greenhouse, cook and taste their produce.
Fount Nursery follows the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. This incorporates several areas of learning, field trips (both local and further afield), and we’ve partnered up with Art Burst and Tatty Bumpkin to develop creative skills through drama, art, movement and literature.
Through this truly unique nursery experience we hope to lift the guilt cloud from busy parents. For those of who have a little one and would like to find out more or enrol, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
