Having been immersed in the Shoreditch property world since early 2000’s with her business AirLocations, Rachel Munro-Peebles has a portfolio of both commercial and residential properties.
Choosing to build a business, almost two decades ago, in vibrant East London came with perks: an artistic scene, brilliant nightlife and creative influences. However, over time, it quickly became apparent to Rachel that Shoreditch was losing it’s authenticity; forgetting it’s true colours and selling out to big companies – meaning the smaller brands – which had previously made Shoreditch what it once was – could no longer afford to stick around. So, similarly to her input at FountHackney, creating a space which was so needed, Rachel decided to use her skillset to create a space that the area is in desperate need of. Which brings us onto FountShoreditch…
Opened March 2019
FountShoreditch officially opened in March 2019; located directly on Shoreditch High Street, a stone’s throw away from Shoreditch High Street Station and a short walk away from Liverpool Street, Bethnal Green, Old Street, Dalston and Hackney, Rachel’s aim is to create a family friendly lifestyle destination on the high street – accessible for all and a brilliant location for brands.
The aim of FountShoreditch is to provide affordable rent for authentic East London brands; a space where new and old come together, a nurturing space for fairly small start-ups to flourish on a opportunistic high street. The space will include:
The aim of FountShoreditch‘s ‘EAT‘ aspect is to bring an out-of-this-world food offering to the area; yes, there’s lots of street food and the occasional great pop-up that draws hundreds of thousands of people to Shoreditch, but we’re firm believers that the best is still out there – and we can’t wait to find it. Whilst chain restaurants and big names have shown interest, we really want to stick to our ethos of supporting small businesses; we’re yet to find the perfect addition to fill our space so until this happens, we’re using this space as an event space. More details below.
FountShoreditch is the first location to house FountLondon’s newest venture: FountKids. Alongside full time nursery places and pay-as-you-go drop-in creche availability, there is also a co-working space for parents who want to get some work done.

1 x meeting room available for corporate – or non-commercial – meetings. This can be rented out by hour, day or week. It holds 8-10 people, has a coffee/tea station and WiFi.
When FountShoreditch first came into fruition, the plan was to always have an individual event space suitable for exhibitions, launches, sample sales and so much more. However, as the demand increased for office/studio space, we decided a standalone space wasn’t necessary – but we were proven wrong.
Our inability to match with the right ‘EAT‘ brand quickly highlighted the need for space for ‘EVENTS‘ within FountShoreditch. Changing the plans every so slightly (our builders LOVED us), we decided to turn the ‘EAT‘ space into our dedicated ‘EVENTS‘ space – and since then, we’ve been inundated with requests to host events.
This space is 430 sqft with blank walls and floors; it boasts an outside space, an alcohol license until 11pm and a separate entrance way to make your event feel more exclusive. Similarly to the meeting room we have, this space can be used for a few hours, a day, a weekend or longer.
